to my world sisters
I will stand up for you
on the corner of every avenue
I can find
your successes I will build on
and I will bespeak your accomplishments
for any who care to listen
to this poetic voice of mine
the world will realize swiftly
that
I am all things
promoting
the female
education
is liberation
knowledge and awareness
are the cornerstones of (self)
power
in one voice there is the whistle of
one lone breath
ah but
in many voices
there is the energy to propel
the ideas towards any ear
the speaker believes
needs most to hear them
our mere courage to stand up
and simply be heard
is the foundation we build
our every achievement upon
so take up your voice
my fellow good women
and roar like a lady
but do roar
allowing no one to lower
nor quiet your 'Shouts Of Injustice'.............
