beneath a seam of discontent

abysmal ignorance duly went

in a braggart's corner

a pair of scissors you will see

to cut our hearts out in the media

by 24/7

whether its midnight in Beijing

rush hour in Atlanta or  7 am

in Sydney

inhumanity is such a bitter establishment

the boundaries that once kept us still

so very human

rallying unto and often for each other

are now just jagged edges

we let others get cut up on

while we laugh and say

thats just the way it is

why fight the tide

that only throws more salt

in an already bleeding wound

so the world can take a gasping

breath and say

hmph better them than me..........
