COME BACK TO ME KHALED

Folder:
JOURNAL#31

come back to me Khaled

for I am missing you

how my eyes trace the slope of your jaw

and linger on your mustache

wondering how it would feel

brushing upon my sweetly bared nape

those eyes so warm and welcoming

the color of warm, garden soil

that I long to lounge in

a lazy summer day

relaxing together in an unmade bed

pillows piled high!

bodies limply astrewn

my fingers trace the wonder of your bright

smile as you look at me

more handsome than sunshine is to

an Eskimo

I think I could be lost in you forever

as I feel you reach for me

hands out stretched

dazzling smile of 'come here my love'

in place

the world slowly takes a step back

and I am drawn into your timeless love

limp in my good fortune

as I am

I never want to think

only fall further into you.................

Author's Notes/Comments:

written for some dashing middle eastern lover in some book my sister loaned me to read swearing I would find the book oh so witty. The book was alright over all but the description of the leading man and how the leading lady felt about him inspired this poem. I wrote the poem from her perspective. The leading man's name wasn't even Khaled but I liked that name so I chose it for the object of her love. I know, I'm weird but hey it's my idea my poem. laughs.
