THE CRUSHING SILENCE

Folder:
JOURNAL#31

you once held my passion at a premium

yet my heart is now a saucer

left out on the porch

of your eyes

upon which

the milk of your love now dries

feeling stupid as I do

still I miss

the stalk of your very surprise

for me

such moment made a splash

now off to the rafters of rest my dear

I hear sleep your mother calling you

from a far

such energy of us has broken

off its very own stem

where we once used to run

now we must crawl

bleeding and unsure

and yet its the crushing silence itself

that suffocates any former sense of

well being.........
