A VALENTINE'S VALENTINE

Folder:
JOURNAL#30

what restless energy in mine heart doth stir

at but the very thought of mine betrothed's love

for me

no man could ever stand taller in mine eyes

no face could appear more handsomer than my

beloved thy's

such love doth hold my every longing

in the perfect heat of his broad warm palm

I think of no other love but thee's

when from my side thee has gone

though the long separations indeed

be quiet torture to endure

the days blend themselves into the nights

yet the moments skip by brighter

knowing such treasure as thine is close soon

to my misty eyes thankful sight

to merely say a simple I love you at this point

in love's regular exchange

seems a tad deflating at best

ah but to say my life as it is

is yours

entirely

and likely ever always was

should tell you more than enough

of my heart's tender distress

so happy Valentine's day my own

daring receptive love

you are a heart's heart leading my own

through this heady eddy storm of commitment

for without you

my glorious wonderful

I do dare say

the sun in my own private sky

quite a bit less brighter

would surely shine
