shades of something spectacular

shiver softly within

to somehow come to light

previous colors so rarely revealed

like the sighed ohs' of newly viewed reds

and the ahs' of the woozy blues

along side the 'oooh la la's' of yellows

streaked with green

revealing a rainbow of such jostled joy

such jolt should accompany

all the arrivals of love

to the port of the human heart

but oh so rarely really do they ever do

many are left with a lot less color than their

own hearts would prefer

ah but you and I are truly the blessed ones

for we have the whole myriad

entire prisms in fact

displaying for us their full colors

so sensuously seated

in love's  iconic allure......
