SATURN'S ENVY *

Folder:
JOURNAL # 38

I love him now
so much the more
why, so much so
in fact
it baffles my mind
to think
there was any
sort of lingering doubt
before
the honesty is there
such sincerity I implore
as no equal in my fair heart
rivals this avid amour
Saturn sits in her rings
pining for such a glow
as mine
why she would be writing
poetry to thee too
if by some chance channeled
fate
she had pen and paper
along side a creative brain
to offer up prose to
but she doesn't
nor has her stormy mauve beauty
managed to capture his loving eye
I alone am the lucky lass in that
and to no other does his heart
soar like an eagle
some miles high
now just who is the lucky one
my love
you or I
grinning ear to ear
I'm sure you will
gregariously reply
both of us are my love
and dreamily sigh.............

written for the man who has captured my enchantment and made it his own, shortly after we spoke on the telephone.
