FIELD OF COMMON

Folder:
JOURNAL#7

I lay my soul empty
upon this lush 'Field Of Common'
so fertile and green
watching carefully and guarded as the dew
brought on by empty souls passed
washes my once violent spirit so cleverly clean
in the stream of rarity I softly catch a small glimmer
of my old wounded reflection
which pauses me to wonder did souls brought here before mine
gaze into their own eyes to find shards of their own hidden affection
only in this lost paradise that can be viewed solely by
broken men and women
can a soul grounded by weighted circumstances
find the strength needed to soar unhindered by self
hate once again
it can rebirth its own self into personal freedom by
shedding the insecurities it once even though
unwillingly wore
and calm secret tides of inner turmoil
to find that outside its pain
there is so much joy left to experience and more
you cannot really know what this personal vacation
to my own private self has managed to do
that is of course unless you've done the same exact
thing for your own spiritual self too............
