A WIDOW FOREVER BUT NEVER THE WIFE

Folder:
JOURNAL #9

she was a widow even before she became a blushing bride

there was 'nary a secret that from this man she could

hide

she drown before she even was allowed to enter the tide

now that all is done her hands are tied

what to do about her apparent pain

she can now not quite decide

she could put away her heartache and secret sorrow

but where does one place one's pride

her emptiness is so obvious since the only man she

ever loved unexpectedly died

if only her hang up with love and loss she could find

the strength within to softly set aside

then perhaps she could finally dry up the last fresh

batch of tears in a long line of many that she has

cried.............
