I'm still as always just three behind

I'm searching hard for something I can't seem to catch

up with long enough to find

the attempt to attain can make one very nearly lose his

(or her) mind

ah, but what the hell, I don't care

it usually helps me to further unwind

but this time I'm putting my head again far too close

to the grind

I'm running on empty and making myself to the fact

almost blind

but at least you can say to this very effort

to the very end I was deeply involved as I happily

designed

but when the words firmly fell to the page

just right

I then promptly resigned..............
