NEARER TO MY SOUL

Folder:
JOURNAL #22

we have sailed before

across wide while still too narrow births

indigent trees of too often exasperated human

life

carved long ago

as glorious ships of such splendid

interaction

carefully created vessels

prepared as just so

so to better sail this

sometimes harsh physical world

yet tired at times

so very tired

yet still so utterly joyous

in each herald moment

re acquaintance and vague recognition

alas

are enough it would seem to sweep away

the gauzy veil of one's usual practiced

acceptance of what is presented before him

thank God and all of each our better sense

that fear plays no role

whatsoever in this beautifully similar

quite sure footed fandango

the dancing lessons have been taken out of the

cubbard of life

a waltz

'stay nearer to my soul'

has began to gently play

in the background

as a cement foundation

of the too rare human kind

has been poured

intrinsically

two familiar well journeyed countrymen

have taken a step onto the latest offered

spiritual plane

to all too gladly meet again

and in their startled yet warmly welcomed

mutual recognition of the other

they quite humbly

in their great gratitude bow deeply acquainted

once again

bonds it would seem

that were never severed

flutter back into place

unto another physical life

there are still so many

gardens for us together

still to be shown

so bring your pencils and your sketch

paper

my young feet

and I shall bring for us both

a well thought of pen

so to better capture this

magic that has been so sweetly sewn

into my every written line............
