they disseminate their rigidity and hate
like gasoline poured over an already parched prairie
decapitating the men and other non believers
raping and enslaving the women while forcing
prepubescent girls to marry
they tout the rightness of their religious fervor
and yet the gruesomely commit theft, brutal rape
and torture, encourage pedophilia and mass murder
(all forbidden acts in the Koran)
ruling by fear's retribution under viciously narrow minded
rules of intolerance and suppression
such darkness and scourge they carelessly spread
but even in the deepest dredges of human hopelessness
and despair
Hope holds up her proud head
and for such foul abuses of power God will make no
concessions
Joseph most of all recognizes their crude, ego based
mirror's image
whiles Job himself could council patience to the trampled
many
as such heinous acts and self damning behaviors
grow darker and still more depraved
God's goodness and love are ever stronger
I think of Jesus in such moments speaking to us in
God's own reflection
Forgive Them For They Know Not What They Do
for in the tainted human heart dwells the conviction
to fight tyranny and all its oppressive methods
to rise above and stay alive
there is no true conquering
not of this earth nor by any mere mortal man
sin shortens the endeavor and weakens the purity
of ones view
there only remains illusions of grandeur
and subsequent descent further into sin
for the take away here stands to attest
that of which you do for the least of my flock
you do for me
so then must go the derivative of that as well
that of which harm you do to the least of my flock
you do as well to me
and I as your eternally living God can not have that
in such scarred eye for an eye era
God alone has the last say
even the most vile slaughterers of men will be
made to realize this...............
