Unforgotten echoes of childhood

The dawn came with us

cheering, giggling and refreshing

those times that held no fuss.

The unforgotten sounds they are

echoes from childhood

Two decades and over, we recall

those plants that now stand tall.

Shrubs so little, have become trees

for anyone who cares or sees

It used to be, your place or mine

we drank then the best wine.
