hot air balloon

Open fields, colorful trees, 170 m fall, amazing scenery. Arrived at Letchworth state park, 58 squared kilometers of pure beauty. A balloon waiting to be filled up with hot air, yes, a hot air balloon. A basket big enough for 8 people, everyone wanting to hop in but afraid to commit to it and stay on before it goes up. The flame burners on full thrust and the fireproof balloon rises quickly, it’s not a vertical rise, its diagonal but steady just as long as you don’t lower the thrust. Instantly you feel scared but amazed of what can be achieved with so little components. The height steadies at 3,000ft, the sunset at clear sight and a little cool breeze, its truly a majestic feeling, one that empowers you and makes you feel like a million bucks. Once you are up in the air there is no way to control the direction of the balloon, the closest way to predict its trace is taking the wind into account, but mostly you just need to trust it will all work out. After some short minutes it’s time for the decline, a sad feeling takes over, you can’t believe how short of a time you had up. You’ve been warned about the landing, it can get bumpy and messy it’s the most dangerous part of the trip. A long way down of agony, its time. Brace yourself, hang tight, flex your knees. After 50 meters of hopping and dragging against the floor we have landed. Your heart beat calms down and you look up to the sky trying to figure out how to get back up. Remember you’re at the floor, the only way to go is up.

Keep your circle small not everyone deserves to be in your life, if they are true friends they won’t have a problem hopping in before you go up and staying for the ride. To be truly successful you will need lots of fire that will power you through the rough times, you will not go directly up but with enough fire it will surely be a steady diagonal climb. You will be amazed of how much you can achieve with so little, just know how to use it correctly. If you’re lucky you will have more than a few minutes up there, so learn to enjoy it and relax. Remember there is no true way to control your life or point in the right direction, learn to let the wind take you and have faith it will all work out. The way down will always be hard, and you will fear the moment you touch the bottom. People call it the most dangerous part since some people end up so broken by the decline that they will never climb again. Not every balloon goes up successfully the first time and some falls are harder than others, the question is, will you stay down or go up?
