Thin Lines Aren't Made For Crossing

"There's a constant contradiction,

What feels good and what feels right.

You live with decisions,

That you make in your life."

So to my left, I've got the flesh,

And to my right I've got the spirit.

And though the spirit's fiercely strong,

I've learned I should not fear it.

The spirit and flesh each have desires,

And I must try to screen them.

My heart is not on either side,

So I must choose between them.

We try so hard to hug the lines,

And flirt with crossing over.

The journeys on the fleshly side,

Before begun, are over.

Thin lines aren't made for crossing,

They're not to give us blurry vision.

They're there so you can always see,

You made the right decision.

Friend: And, it's not good, because, if I'm not as good as people think, and she's not as good as I thought she was... then that doesn't make a whole lot of good.
