My Metamorphosis

My Metamorphosis

I watched the brilliant color

as it flitted through the grass.

It lifted wings of indigo,

and fluttered gently past.

An awe-inspiring insect, he,

and I a mortal fan.

I stood there breathless watching him,

as gracefully he'd land.

I thought of how short weeks ago

I'd found that hairy worm.

A yucky thing, repulsed on sight,

And look now!  How he's turned!

The traits that made me shudder then

Have been replaced forthwith.

A gorgeous, lovely butterfly

all from a worm! No myth!

My heart speeds up when I catch sight

of miracles on wings.

For see?  God do-eth all things well,

and soon MY HEART could sing.

For tho I have so many faults,

that I weep mournfully.

He is not finished with me yet,

A work in progrees--ME!

i love the poem and pix, however the music is very distracting. i think a different song should have been chosen. i wanted to sing along because i like the song. Maybe You should try a classical piece or a soft jazz/new age piece so as not to distract the reader but rather to draw them in. i had to stop reading to reach over and turn the speaker off! one love Corey & co
