Blossoms

Blossoms

Today I'm planting flowers.

I do it for my soul.

I seem to gain more hope for life,

When tiny plants unfold.

Today the seeds I'm sowing,

Don't look like much, it's true.

Wait a few weeks.  Stop back by,

The color will startle you.

Today I'm planting flowers.

It's a purely selfish act.

Reminds me God isn't finished yet.

He'll provide virtues I lack.

This poem is remindful of what Jesus said about planting seeds: (I paraphrase...) "Whatsoever ye sow, so shall ye reap." Since most all humans are under Karmic Law, it is so true that the "bread we cast on the waters" comes floating back to us... However, in the long run, Jessica is quite right when she said God will provide her with more virtues... from His abundant storehouse... We are merely the vessels through which He works and if we still have Him buried too deeply within us, perhaps we do not realize that the virtues are His... that they only EXPRESS through us. In any event, it seems apparent that Jessica's poetry unveils her nearness to that Splendidness within... Thank you for sharing this very nice poem, Jessica...
