No Work Today

It's Saturday and my day off,

So I should rest.  Yeah Right!

There's clothes to wash,

And food to cook.  Who said I had a life?

I'm female, Son.  That tells it.

I never get a break!

There's grocery shopping, tire rotation,

A cleaners stop to make.

The kids have planned a party

At the skating rink in town.

So now I HAVE TO TAKE THEM.

How else will they get down?

The kitchen floor needs mopping,

And the fridge is such a mess!

Go on out and have your fun.

I wish you all the best.

But I'll tell you one thing, Buster.

To think on while you hunt,

It's time for me to have some fun.

I'm tired of all this junk.

It takes two people now to make

A living and a home,

And I'm not going to keep this up

And do it all alone.

This is your only warning,

So you'd better just take note.

I'm ready for vacation.

Goodbye.  That's all she wrote.
