Advice

Advice

When you want it, you can't get it

Unless you pay a great cost.

But when it comes to something personal,

There is no one at a loss.

From your doctor, to your children,

To the clerk down at the store,

From your mother, to your pastor,

To so many many more!

Did someone take an ad out

And never even let me know?

How do all these people hear

Details?  Torment and frustrate so?

Let me make this clear, OK?

Please remember to be nice!

When I want it, I will ask for it.

And what is that?  ADVICE!!

Oh Jessica!

I like it alot! I also live in a small town. Do you remember the game 'telephone' kids use to play? Passing a message along and seeing if the last person heard it the same as the first? This reminds me of that---information going around town-----and consequently, the unwanted advice on something they really know nothing about.
I like the way you put things together. I've seen it often now in many of your poems----we think the same. Or at least it seems so.

LOL ~! Jess, this is GREAT! Reminds me of a girl I work with, who makes it a point to know everything about everybody. She is constantly gossiping and "sticking her nose into other people's business," (if you know what I mean). I think I'll print a copy of your poem and anonymously place it on her desk. Hahaa!!
Thanks for the chuckle!
