As For Me

Sleep eluded me last night.

My mind would not be still.

It slid through many topics,

Then stopped itself at will.

Suddenly I saw you,

With a memory so clear,

That if I kept my eyes closed,

I could fantasize you're here.

Your precious face before me,

The echo of your voice,

My lonely heart was aching.

I miss you--have no choice.

I hope you're resting sweetly.

I pray you're well and fine.

But as for me?  In Georgia,

I'm only marking time.

I go through sometimes myself, although the good thing is I usually write better at 2 or 3 am:)

You've done a wonderful thing here and my mere comments can not do it justice:D
Thank you.
