Retirement wiped out

By the Big Dogs everyday

Some are job scared

Most are rushed

Mortgaged to their chins

Laboring to make a go

Inheritance for their kin

Blue-collar workers

All around

Keep this country free

It's the Working People

Who make it work

Folks like you and me.

Author's Notes/Comments: 

This Enron mess makes me sick.  I live in an area where the cotton mills were bought up by Enron.  I know a couple who lost  $100,000 from their retirement fund---wiped out and they worked hard all their lives to make a nestegg for old age.  It's not fair.
