Friends Like You

Oh, I really appreciate it,

That you're "telling me for my own good.",

But must you enjoy it so much?

I really don't THINK you should.

And "you probably don't even realize"???

Like I'm stupid and blind or what?

"We thought you ought to know" says who?

I simply don't give a royal squat!

Who gave you permission, FRIEND?

To crucify MY name?

And are you now turning prophet?

To read my mind, place blame?

Huh! I think I've heard about all

Of your message that I intend to.

But tell me who needs enemies

When they've got a friend like you??

Author's Notes/Comments:

This was inspired after reading one of Butch Lesley's poems, "Shallow Friends" because I have felt the same way he wrote about in his.

Another good one. Quite true.....who needs enemies, with friends like that. On the other hand, who needs enemies or friends when you have relatives like that!!! Lol
