Differences

Why get so frustrated

With the differences we see?

If we all were clones and thought the same,

How dull our lives would be!

If all the birds were warblers,

We'd lose the whippoorwills.

If we thought and felt and did the same,

We would miss so many thrills!

How many times a surprising tune

Has made a heart feel glad!

Or a ballad sung in a sultry voice

Brought a pall and made one sad.

We each of us have our own worth

And that's as it SHOULD be.

We'll loose ourselves to enjoy life more

When we set each other free!

Here! Here! Jessica... My Dad always said "Variety is the spice of life"... It took me a few years to know the depth of that saying, but I finally came around. You have a great way of saying it in this poem!

Smilezs....a starkly truthful poem about humanity, Jess.
Differences make the colors of the world... but sometimes, they splash over one another.
Evoking poem, to me.

Thanxs for sharing.
