Starry Night

Other Poems

Starry night.

Lights high above.

They glisten on the glass of the buildings.

Darkened streets,

Empty stores.

The beauty of nature,

The beauty of our creations.

Total absence of life.

Barren roads,

Barren homes.

An empty city.

A warm wind,

Blows off the water.

Rustles the garbage in the street.

No lights,

Just the stars.

The moon rises,

On the horizon.

The whitened waves,

Crash into the shore.

The sound of wind,

The crash of waves.

No life at all.

A world at peace,

A world at bay,

A world without us.

This was such an articulately written piece, brutally beautiful, I loved it from beginning to end ...you have a beautiful mind.
