My Virginity

Losing my virginity

Was like losing a friend

Who I never knew very well.

It slipped away

And I hardly noticed

The cracking, tearing

Of a hymen

Could it be,

After all these years of waiting

For the brilliant moment to finally arrive

I had already become a woman

Before I gave it away .

That I hadn’t been a girl

For quite some time.

Slow at first,

A little blood

Then faster and harder

I kept my eyes closed

And expected spectrums of colour

To flow through my soul

For my mind to be free

My senses, whole.

Instead I climbed a mountain

To tumble down a hill.

Still,

He wasn’t bad.

"Taking a tumble "

Just guessing, you have a life of tumbles and a mountain of hills to climb yet!
