Every morning that I wake.

I look at the suffering

And pain

I see shadows

Of mistakes that I’ve made.

And I take a deep breathe

And I say

I’m okay.



Every moment that I live.

I look at all the darkness

I’ve battled with.

I see doubt

And everything

that’s stood in my way

Yet I’ve just made it

Through another day.



And night when I lay my head.

I think of every step

That I’ve had to take.

I see my fears

And how they consume

I see how I’ve risen

And I see how I bloom.
