Finally Free

she hasn't slept in days
she can't think straight
her mind keeps wandering off
she doesn't eat either
she stopped talking to her friends
she wont tell her therapist
everyone thinks that she's fine
but she's really falling apart inside
no one can help her
they can't even see
what the pain can really do
one day she'll leave it all behind
one day she will be happy
and then some might see
but it wont matter
because she'll be gone
away from the pain
and finally free

One of the things about pain

One of the things about pain is that it has a way of telling you that you deserve it. It's a liar like that...but it becomes like a lying "friend" that you would be better off without, but cannot let go of. This poem brings that out. Never feel guilty to show tough love.

...and he asked her, "do you write poetry? Because I feel as if I am the ink that flows from your quill."

"No", she replied, "but I have experienced it. "

Reminds me of Karen

Reminds me of Karen Carpenter, who had the most beautiful voice, song songs of love, but did not love herself.

I read your comment all the

I read your comment all the time and it rings so true. Her songs touch my soul and it's like she's singing out the pain like I do when I sing her songs. Thank you so much for that. It makes me happy to know the passion and pain shine through like one of the greatest story telling singers. ❤️♥️❤️

My heart feels the same.

My heart feels the same. Write it out, it lessens the pain.
