Carrying my burden

take it day by day

I know you may not like it

I have nothing else to say.



You had the chance to love me

but then held on far to tight

I knew something was happening

you proved it that one night.



I thought it would of hurt me

but inside I was numb

deep down I knew you'd do it

that you would find someone.



A little common decency

was all I could have asked

but I calmly put you on a shelf

one more ghost in my past.



Carrying your burden

memories i'd best forget

as much as I may hate it

i've not forgiven yet.
