A forfeit of my selfishness
to give my heart to you
and I gave it all unthinking
it was undeserved.
Trying so hard to change the past
time simply revealed
you were unworthy
my lonliness was better served.
You looked at me unfeeling
no true sense of comprehension
I have to wonder
are you the fool or I?
A forfeit of my sadness
to find solice in our end
I gave it all quite conscious
and I didn't lose.
