Staring up

looking at everything

that I wanted to be

looking back

to all the things

that i wish i'd known and seen

Holding on

too the tears, the fears

I feel in missing now

hope that i'll find them again

when i'm breaking down.



Another day on which i frown

It won't make it easier for me

another person on the ground

to take my place

another loss

where i'm not found

but i'm trying

too see clearly

how far i've come when I look down

again.



Love and loss

walking hand in hand today

they were best friends

and that i suppose they'll stay

seventeen, all but mean

holding on

too what they've lost and found

they're still around

they won't let themselves

bee pulled down

because they learned

the things i'll never know.

lack of trust
