I would never hurt you

the way you hurt me

i'm not that insecure

I don't need to be seen.



I know i'm not perfect

at least I can pretend

don't have to put you down

when in front of your friends.



To make myself feel better

I look in the mirror

you can't even do that

when you see what you fear.



What I see is a person

who does care more then most

you could never see that

when all there is is a ghost.



You can't let me be happy

if it isn't for you

I don't know why I stay

why you do what you do.
