What I Needed
I only needed a moment
to really see how much i care
a single second in the few
when only you were ever there.
A little bit of understanding
is what i'm asking from you now
because i still don't have the answers
and i don't have it all down.
I only needed a promise
that none of them could ever give
and I was hurt far worse then ever
but I saw i had to live.
So I won't ask you for a promise
I will not feel that way once more
all I ask is for a reason
to what i'm really living for.
