You've told me time and time again

that your love for her is gone

and for awhile I believed you

though now I see that I was wrong.



You never really stopped I see

but I guess they never do

and every time I see her

I cna't help but think of you.



I see you as my best guy friend

and not once did I ever lie

but you knew deep down your feelings

but to tell me you never tried.



And it hurts because I loved you

and I love her just as well

but I feel like i'm the third wheel

and I know that you can tell.



And I hope that you are happy

because I doubt I ever was

if one of us must shed some tears

might as well be me that does.
