You want to know the thing to do

to make me feel alright

well please don't bother worrying

i'm angry out of spite.



You wan't to hear the reason

why my eyes are sporting tears

but I don't think you understand

and that's what I do most fear.



You've always had that something

that makes them bow down on their knees

and that includes the one I wanted

though you never were a tease.



I have loved him ten years or more

maybe not as long as you

but I think that it was just as deep

although you won't see that as true.



He looks at me oblivious

to the feelings I display

I think he knows well how I feel

but for sure he will not say.



You've had him once and then again

and again you will somehow

no actress could have pulled it off

so please do take a bow.



So I hope you get together

though I doubt that it will last

then he can remember the good old friend

he had a chance with in the past.
