I never meant to feel this empty

though it's my feeling everyday

I never meant to see this pain

though it's all I seem to see

I never meant to hear your hurt

but it's the very role I play

I never meant to feel this empty

but without that who would I be.



I never meant to hate this life

but it's a tendancy I have

I never meant to hate you too

but you never left me a choice

I never meant to think in black

though that colour shapes my day

I never meant to speak these words

but without them I have no voice.



I never meant to want to die

but this was just was too much for me

I never meant to cut my wrists

but I just felt the need to bleed

I never meant to make you cry

but that was past all my control

I never meant to kill myself

but all this pain destroyed my soul.
