I thought I saw you

looking at me

stare into my soul

that's never been free.

Look to inside my

tell me what you see

fell so much more empty

then I thought I could be.

You stare into my eyes

you wonder what's there

hoping if you look you'll see

someone who really cares.

But I can't read your mind

all of this I don't know

and the feelings you have

aren't the feelings you show.

Everything goes left unsaid

as we both walk away

if I had known how you felt

I really would have stayed.

But it's too late to change it all

i'll forget this somehow

I wish i'd known then how you felt

though it does no real good now.
