his heart is a stone

but you could say the same for me

we're cold

and they're not alone

but i've become the present tense

i'm the here and now

i'm the basis for your indescretion

i'm the first & last time

you betray that girl

because i'm hollow and souless

enought to allow it

i'm the empty shell

that fills up the long distances

between you and that girl you love

i'm hardly here

but my existence threatens you and her



so here's to hoping

that you can keep a secret

and that i remember not to care

don't let me thaw

don't forget i was there

when you needed something

to forget yourself in

to live that movie apathy

because i'm a film reel

you will burn away

as soon as your back in your car

without me in the back seat
