Angel on my walk

walking on a lonely lane tonight
hardly had anybody in my sight
wished i'd meet somebody on my way
just one single stranger before its day..

as i kept walking to nowhere
i heard a girl cry from somewhere
wished i could wipe off her tears
just once before my death nears

while her cry echoed in my memory
there was a strange turn in my story
for the girl who cried came dashing
on my way, into my heart, smile's still flashing

she had been thrashed, a drunkard father
now she chases bubbles of soap and lather
knows not her future, forgetting past and smiling
looking up.. stars are shining..

was she an angel sent by thee
life's a bubble she was telling me
anyways on my walk today, saw a girl smiling
jealous of her, i'm still whining...
