Dreams till the alarm

Pow what a shot!
Oh dear I almost forgot
Let's start from square one
Newcomer what has this become
A merry go round with bazooka bubblegum?
Tilt-a-whirls to cause the maelstrom of my brain to swirl?
Imaginary or not he cares for the girl
Wrapped in his own emotion
Undertoes and waves created in his souls ocean
Taking toll from even the slightest notion
A fresh breeze upon my dust
A chance to repair all of this rust
If trust Were a must would my lust feel so robust?
Would it be quite enough?
Indeed his own eyes know
Yet he keeps his smile and learns to let go
Cocked and ready to throw
Anxiously waiting to take his leave
Never to retrieve what in fact he needs
A shot in the dark is far better than never firing at all
A chance to prove before this stalls
A Chance to not become only memories haunting my dreams winter through fall
Off the leash I cannot contain this feeling
I can only sit here so long reeling
The fish just don't bite for this fisherman
He's learned to take shots at the impossible
The improbable hope of the chance of full throttle
Who am I kidding there's the alarm as we speak
My eyes squint at the rays of Sun so bleak
My heart feels for his emotions are weak
No time to fix this leak
Coffees in the pot
Paste is on the brush
Cleaned up and ready for the day
Lets just say

This isn't a shot worth taking today
