Nothing Ever Changes

Nothing Ever Changes

Though love was lost,

friendship prevailed.

Understanding was helpful,

in keeping us alive.

Things become uncomfortable,

and friendship is distanced.

The love of friends has been destroyed,

and the wire is unmendable.

"I thought things would be different,

But i know that they aren't know."

It may not be me... ands its not you.

My life has become a tangled web,

unable to straighten it,

but unable to cut the thread.

I endure a life of hate,

with few friends,

but nothing ever changes.

I still seem like the cold heartless bastard you left behind,

when my life doesn't get better, its hard to seem different.

And a true friend I've lost in amongst the anger,

and hate in the tangle web called my life.

Two words I have to say to you,

the ones that never patch a wound,

the only thing one can say in times like these,

so here it is........ "I'm sorry".....

I have a contridiction to the title of the poem, it's not that nothing ever changes, it's the fact that people are afraid of change. So they keep repeating the same thing, making it look like there is no change. But their concience will eat at them until the very end. Great poem, keep writing, you're awesome!
