What did you do that September day
Did you go and try to help in someway
Did you sit at home and cry
Turn on the news, and watch innocent people die
Did you go out and wear red, white, and blue
Buy a paper and look at the review
Did you go to church, and pray
And ask God to make everything okay
Did you go to stand in line
Give your blood for the not so fine
Did you feel bad because your still alive
But pray to heaven above, that innocent people arrive
Did you read the paper the next day
Look at it and cry in some way
What did you do that September day,
When nothing went the right way?
