I once though I'd never get over you

I'm sure that's what you wanted

I once thought we'd always be together

The ugly truth has shown through

I once thought we'd be friends forever

Until petty pride got in the way

I once thought you'd always love me

Then you walked away

I once thought our love could last

Now I know it wasn't love



I'm sure I'll get over you now

I know we won't be together again

You're not a person I want as my friend

You love me no longer

It's obvious our love has faded



I once thought you cared about me
