... my hair

rustling repletion



my arms

swaying cool shadows



my fingers

sprouting the fruit of Life



and your words

cooing contentedness



winging away

on an everlasting Journey ...










Author's Notes/Comments: 

More than a decade ago, I wrote a poem in Afrikaans, Septemberboom, which was inspired by my "tree" qualities.  What glee to discover Deborah Russell's poem, "I too, Am Alive", being the photo negative ... I wrote "Tree Talisman" in completion of this dualism ...
