ERUPTION

And each day since the beginning of time

The sun has rose

And each day since the beginning of time

The sun has set

In the west

The sun lays to rest

Across the horizon

Across the skies

Across the heavens

the sun sets – the sun erupts

It erupts – an explosion – an eruption of violent, fierce,

Loving and affectionate colours:

flaming crimson, a blaze of yellow, burning amber – molten gold.

A furnace of colour.

A volcano has erupted in the sky-

The lava, viscous, flows…

Stopped by nothing – unstoppable.

A word a thousand images

An image a thousand words

See the sun set – imagine - image
