DA TRUTH

found my way to prison calling myself thuggin. Got the muda one rap, the judge threw the hammer at me, and gave me the LWOP. With tears in my eye's, my little sister ran out the courtroom. Lying to those who ask if I'm coming home soon.  Knowing what the deal is,shit I gotta be with the business. Ride ore get rode on, the only two options in this bitch. I adapt to my surroundings , do the necessary for my survival. If it's fighting or stabbing people ,im with it, as long as I dont die here. I guess part of growing up is making bad decisions. But, if I dont learn from them, I stagnate and remain in the same position. Started gangbangin in '02 wanted to feel like I belonged. But to become a lader you gotta be headstrong, learn to stand on your own.my big bro told me to be successful you have to relax , chill out, and he focus. My mind in a million places at once,I'm still trying to figure out the postion. Sitting in this cell I can imagine myself in the booth in the. Putting a track on wax in other words, giving you niggas "DA TRUTH".....  Written By Mr.Swagger

Would love to hear you write

Would love to hear you write about a plan for when you get out, and the lonliness of trying to go it the "straight route". Would love to hear how difficult society makes it for someone coming out of prison...not just the employment or education side of it--- but how hard it is to relate to people who have never been through it. Would love to hear how that feeling of having no other way but to go back to your old so-called-friends that you know..you know in your heart.... you know...will drag you right down. Would love to hear about the fears, the hopes, the dreams that will never be....would love to hear. Would love to hear what you have done psychologically to prepare yourself to be happy despite society's hatred for convicts. Please.

This is your platform.

Write...please.

Best of luck.

...and he asked her, "do you write poetry? Because I feel as if I am the ink that flows from your quill."

"No", she replied, "but I have experienced it. "
