us sitting here

expressing thoughts

emotions

fears

pain

why?

i dont know why I write

i dont know why i cry either

i just do

so i write whatever's in my head

hoping it doesnt sound pretentious or melodramatic

there are so many of us

so much to say

twenty six letters seems far too little

but it's all we have

to show every complex

thought and emotion

we are capable of

so to all the poets and readers
