Children Of Mortality

Folder:
Poems 2004

They long for death,
Yet do not want to die,
They wish to weep bitter tears,
Yet do not have the will to cry.

They taste of innocence,
Of sugar and cloves,
They sleep in the river,
Hoping to drown their woes.

Children of night,
Holding life so delicately,
Living for death,
Sweet children of mortality.
