Life is a masquerade

In which everyone wears a mask

And behind those masks lie secrets

From a hidden past

And everyone's biggest goal

Is not to show,oh never show

What lies behind the mask

And they must never laugh

They can only show indiference

To this or that

And hide true feelings behind the mask

The mask is their cover

Their cover for everything

For them love is only temporary

And happiness only lingering
