lose our way together.

I don't know where I'm going
or if things will get any better
but if you're as willing to get lost as I am
we could lose our way together

if you feel isolated in the company
of everyone you know
you're welcome in my mind
I'll make my troubles into a lovely home

the night, the most treacherous hours we own
construct a campsite from the fossils of your doubt
gather all of the busy stars above us
and persuade them to sleep on the ground

I don't know where I'm going
or if things will get any better
but if you're as willing to get lost as I am
we could lose our way together

maybe getting up in the morning
isn't really worth the trip to see
every plot-twist to be expected
predictable ending, predicable me

all I ask of you is that you promise
in whatever time we have left, we create
carefully spell out every moment in this epilogue
the page remaining blank

I don't know where I'm going
or if things will get any better
but if you're as willing to get lost as I am
we could lose our way together

Oh this speaks wonders to me.
Thank you..

"The stars awaken a certain reverence, because though always present, they are inaccessible; but all natural objects make a kindred impression, when the mind is open to their influence." R.W.E.
