the good ol' days
while I was in them.
I wish I had known
the best years of my life
were in the past
when they were in the present.
I stare at these frozen memories
captured in photographs,
my face smiling back
during more simple times.
I weep onto the pages realizing
that the most beautiful moments
of my life have
already passed me by.
